What is Kamra PMS?
Kamra is the world's first agentic AI, open-source property management system (PMS). It runs front desk, billing and taxes, restaurant POS, housekeeping and commission-free direct bookings for hotels and vacation rentals. It is free under AGPL-3.0, on your own server or the Frappe Cloud Marketplace.
Can I run my hotel with Claude?
Yes. Kamra ships an MCP server with 116 governed tools. Add your Kamra site to Claude, or any MCP client, and it can quote, book, check guests in and out, post charges and run the night audit as a permission-checked user, with every action in the audit log.
Is Kamra really free?
Yes. Every feature is open source and included in every install. There are no per-room fees, no seat fees and no paid tiers. You pay only for the server you choose, and optional implementation or support if you want it.
Does the AI decide prices or taxes?
Never. Rates, taxes and availability come from a deterministic pricing engine covered by an automated test suite. The AI can only call governed tools, with the permissions of the user it acts for.
How does Kamra make money?

What do I need to self-host Kamra?
A 2 vCPU, 4 GB RAM, 40 GB SSD Ubuntu VPS runs a full property; 8 GB is recommended for 20+ rooms with POS. One command installs it with Docker. Guides for Hostinger, DigitalOcean, Linode and AWS are in the docs.
