A hotel PMS you own, for American independents.
Independent hotels, motels, inns and vacation-rental managers pay per room, every month, for software they can't change. Kamra is the world's first open-source, agentic AI-ready PMS: free, yours, and ready for the AI tools you already use.
No per-room fees
The software is free under AGPL-3.0. A 40-room inn pays for a server, not for 40 rooms.
Agent-native
Connect Claude or your own AI over MCP. It works with a staff member's permissions, and every action is logged.
Your region, your data
Run it on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud or your own box, in the US region you choose. Export anything, any time.
Hotels and vacation rentals
Rooms, whole homes and multi-villa portfolios on one system, with a commission-free booking page.
Runs in dollars today
USD and US date formats, with one combined tax rate per property. Full state and city lodging-tax lines are coming as an open US pack.

For US hotels
Is there a free, open-source hotel PMS for US hotels?
Yes. Kamra is an open-source (AGPL-3.0), agentic AI-ready PMS for hotels, motels, inns and vacation rentals. No licence or per-room fees. It runs in USD today with one combined tax rate per property; a full US pack with state and city lodging taxes is being built in the open. https://kamrapms.com/united-states/
Can I self-host a hotel PMS in the United States?
Yes. Kamra runs on any Linux server or cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, DigitalOcean, Hostinger) with a one-line Docker installer, or on Frappe Cloud. Your guest data stays in the US region you choose.
Does Kamra handle US lodging and occupancy taxes?
Today Kamra applies one combined tax rate per property (for example state sales tax plus city occupancy tax added together). Separate state, county and city lines, and exemptions for long stays, are the US country pack that contributors are building now.
