Kamra now runs short-term rentals
Hotels stay exactly as they were. Flip a property to Short Term Rental and the same open-source PMS becomes a villa portfolio: several sites, room-wise or whole-house selling, and a guest catalog that looks like a listing site.
Shipped as v2.5.0. Same open-source build on self-host, Frappe Cloud, Kamra Cloud, and the live demo. Hotel installs are unchanged.
What you get
- Property kind: Short Term Rental. Choose it in the setup wizard or later in Settings. Hotels keep the classic front-desk flow.
- Multi-villa booking engine. Guests browse a catalog of sites, open a villa page with its own map and address, then book a room or the whole place.
- Sellable inventory units. Sell as a room, whole-place, or package. Competition groups mean booking the villa takes its rooms off sale.
- Guest search that looks like a booking site. Check-in and check-out dates (not a nights spinner), adults and children, and a clear Check availability button on the catalog and villa pages.
- STR money rules. Cleaning fees and refundable security deposits on the quote; instant book with holds, or request-to-book.

How to try it on your own site. On v2.5.0+: set
Property kind to Short Term Rental, add villas as room types with
their own locations, define sellable units, and turn on the booking engine.
Self-host, Frappe Cloud and Kamra Cloud get the same software. Nothing gated.
